Can you use PLR content for your website? I think this is a question a lot of bloggers ask themselves. I am going to ask some of your questions in this blog post.

PLR, Private Label Rights, are a great way to get content for your website. If you use it right of course. PLRs can also save a lot of time and effort compared to creating your own content from scratch. But there are some disadvantages to this type of content as well.

The biggest problem with PLR is the fact that multiple people have the right to use the content as their own. This means that you’ll have competition, whether it is for getting ranked on Google for articles on your website or selling a PLR eBook.

If a bunch of people all post the same articles ot their websites, generally only one of them will get ranked in the rest will be considered duplicate content.

The easiest way to avoid this problem is to edit the PLR content to make it more unique. Rewrite articles you post on your blog, change the graphics, title and other branding for an eBook you are selling, etc.

Low Quality

Another problem with some PLR is the quality of the content. However, that doesn’t mean that all PLR content is of poor quality. There are plenty of providers that offer high-quality content. What should be borne in mind is that PLR content that is cheap is more likely to be of low quality. Do you homework here and take time to research.

The last thing you want to do is offer something of questionable quality to your audience, whether they are buying it from you or just reading it on your website.

The solution here to this problem is to check content before you use it. Read through it and make sure it isn’t poorly written and double-check the information itself for accuracy. If it is in video or audio form, go through it before you use it to be sure the quality is acceptable.

If you are selling a PLR product it is possible that your customers could buy the same thing from two different marketers. Particularly if one or both of you re-brand it so it isn’t recognizable as the same thing. This is more if an issue in markets like internet marketing where customers could be on several email lists that all wind up promoting the same thing.

The only real solution to this is to offer a money-back guarantee. If someone buys something from you and it turns out they bought the same thing in one form or another from someone else, you can simply refound their purchase.

These were probably the three most common negative things about PLR content. But it can easily be fixed.

The most important factor for being successful with PLR is probably customizing it in one or more ways. If you do that your content will be unique. And if your audience can’t identify it as being the same offer as another marketer who also picked up the rights, you won’t need to worry about competition so much.

So, here you have three ways you can use to make your article unique.

Graphics

Graphics is probably the easiest way to make your content unique to your visitors’ eyes. Here you should try to create new graphics. If you not are good ar creating graphics or working with Photoshop you can also try to hire someone to create graphics. New graphics means new ecovers and graphics on your salepage and if you really want to make your product stand out as a totally different product you create your own sale- or squeezepage.

If you want to hire and outsource the graphic design you can turn to sites like Fiverr and the Warriors Forum. These sites have plenty of people who do this type of work for relatively low cost. The few dollars you spend on new graphics can pay you back many times over.

Format

Another way you can customize your PLR is by repurposing the content into other formats. You could create a video/audio version or an eBook for example. These types of changes can add a lot of value to a package and if someone is comparing your offer to another, your content will hopefully convince them to buy from you.

You could even go a step further and create a home study course out of a digital product. Videos can be transferred onto DVD, eBooks into hardcopy books and so on. This will often take a package that might sell for $27 – 47 in digital form and make it into one that can sell for $197 – 297 in physical form.

Bundling

Bundling several PLR packages together into a larger, more complete offer can also be quite effective. They should be related to the same general topic, and ideally they would complement each other in some way.

This is more than just offering another package as a bonus. Combining two or more PLR packages into one large makes it more inclusive and thus more popular. It will also cover a wider range of information and with that a larger public.

Of course, you can also combine two ore all three of these ideas to really make your offer unique. If you combine two or three PLR packs into a single product, have new website graphics made and then offer an upsell for a physical version. There are a ton of PLR suppliers around, with prices ranging from a few cents to hundreds of dollars. If you want to ensure you are getting the highest PLR possible, there are several places you should look.

High-End PLR Sellers

There are some PLR sellers who specialize in higher-end packages, sometimes even products of their own. Sometimes these products are offered in a limited number of PLR licenses. This is done in the internet marketing niche more often than any others. But if you are working in that niche it can be a great way to get a very good product that may even have a bit of history behind it.

Once you buy from these sellers you will mostly be added to their list. This means that you will get an early notification when future packages are released. But if you haven’t bought anything, it is still a good idea to get on their email list because you will see what’s new when they release it.

One of the secret to success with PLR products is to implement them as quickly as possible. The longer you wait, the more competition you will have. So it is helpful to get early warning when new packages are released.

PLR Memberships

PLR memberships are another good place to get PLR content. If you join a membership site there are some things you should look for. The first thing you should notice is how old the membership site is. For how long it has been running. If a PLR membership site has been around for a couple of years there are good chances that it will continue to be around for a while. A brand new membership site is not always reliable because many PLR sellers start out with great intentions but find it hard to continue to supply good content month after month.

That is not to say that new memberships are bad. Just that you should be aware of this potential problem.

PLR Stores

There are a number of PLR stores that sell article packs, eBooks and various other types of private label rights content. Before you buy anything you should first check out the reputation of the seller.

When you research if a membership site or a PLR seller have a good reputation you can just search on Google. But even if you don’t find anything about this seller you should always start with a small purchase. Test if the seller offer high quality content or not before you make a major purchase.

 

 

Ending Up

PLR content is a great way to finding content to your blog posts. Especially if you are new to blogging or if you not write in your own language.

But it is not just to buy PLR content and start writing blog post after blog post. If you do so you will probably not be so successful as you thought. Before you start using PLR content there is some basic things you have to do. There are also some important things you have to remember when you use PLR content.
